WARSAW – Independent Polish media fear their survival not only because of corona. The nationalist government of ruler Kaczynski has come up with a new bill to thwart TV channels, radio stations and newspapers with an additional tax on advertising. “We are heading for a situation such as during the communist dictatorship under General Jaruzelski, when the media did not have free choices,” said editor-in-chief Jaroslav Kurski.
