Pokémon Go is experiencing problems on the first day of its new event

On paper this Saturday, July 25 was supposed to be a day of fun and relaxation for fans of Pokémon Go. After all, today will be the first day of Pokémon Go Fest, the event that for two days will be dedicated to celebrating the popular game.

But soon after the start of the festivities, users began reporting problems with the game and is that due to the large number of active players Pokémon Go began to suffer long delays.

According to ComicbookThese lags “have been caused by everything from opening the friend list to touching a Pokémon on the world map to catch it, and have persisted since Pokémon Go Fest was officially launched last night.”

During this Saturday morning, Niantic began by acknowledging the existence of the problem: “We are investigating technical issues that are causing problems for some coaches with social actions like opening their Buddy List and sending raid invitations. We will provide an update when we have a resolution. ” the company pointed out through its official Twitter account.

And more recently those responsible for the game promised that they will give more updates soon.

“Coaches, we are investigating the current problem that affects some coaches causing delay and other problems with the game,” Niantic wrote. “Sorry for the inconvenience and we will provide you with an update through our official channels when we have more information.”

In that scenario, several players are already asking for compensation from the company since this event required an entry. However, there is still no official announcement to that effect.
