Poetry, from Hollywood to Congress with the voice of Algecirean actor Víctor Clavijo

Algecirean actor Víctor Clavijo continues to explore the possibilities of declamation of poetry and has transferred the verses of many of the greats of Spanish literature, on the one hand, to classic film scenes, and on the other, to political figures in his participation in Congress.

These are the latest proposals that the Algeciras has shared on social networks, something that he had been doing since the beginning of the pandemic, especially in the months of confinement, when he shared videos reciting reggaeton songs as poems.

Since then he has been introducing poetry in areas far removed, in principle, from the art of rhymes.

Clavijo experiments in his role as a dubbing actor, transferring poems to Hollywood movie scenes in which the chosen texts do not clash.

Be it violent scenes, as in Pulp Fiction, a fiery speech by Al Pacino, with whom he has recreated himself on several occasions in this experiment, poetry has a place, from the hand of Víctor Clavijo, even from the Terminator himself.

It is more surprising to see a session of Congress peppered with verse rather than a bitter debate, and even something beyond it, that we are used to.
