PLN Responds to Woman Living in the Dark: Electricity Cut Off due to Safety Concerns

Jakarta

Dyah Aristi Kusuma Putri (50) or widely known as Putri, reportedly lives alone in a rickety house without electricity. Responding to this matter, PLN finally opened its voice.

PLN UID Jaya Communications Senior Manager, Gunawan, said that the house currently occupied by Putri had electricity until November 2022. Regarding the reasons for the termination, his party is still clarifying at the location.

“Officers are still at the location to ensure chronology via neighbors, because according to data (the house is still electrified) terecord us in November 2022,” Gunawan told detikcomMonday (24/7/2023).

Beyond that, currently the PLN is also coordinating with the local authorities because Putri lives alone in the rickety house. In addition, Putri is also suspected of having problems with her mental health.

“Currently we are also coordinating in parallel with the local authorities for follow-up action considering that the occupants are currently known to live alone and the condition is suspected to be ODGJ,” he said.

Because of that, Gunawan continued that for the time being it is likely that the electricity at Putri’s house will not be installed immediately. Because it was feared that the installation of electricity in the house could actually endanger Putri in the future.

“We are worried that if we install the electricity there will be action from the person concerned who (could) endanger himself by using unsafe electricity, thereby endangering the occupants,” explained Gunawan.
