On August 12, the young artist visited the Music Bank in absentia ArtifexLV, as well as a very popular musician Jānis Stībelis, whose collaboration resulted in a song “Please do not go!”. During the show, ArtifexLV introduced itself, as well as told about the creation of the composition. Jānis Stībelis opened the “behind the scenes” of this new collaboration, as well as presented his other musical news.
“From the very beginning of making music and melodies, I knew that I would like to ask Jānis Stībelis to perform this song and write the lyrics. Of course, creating a song for someone else is not an easy task, often doubts arise as to whether the song is good enough, whether the artist will like it and will suit his musical taste. I overcame my doubts and offered the song to Jānis. I am very happy that their song spoke, that Jānis created words for her and sang it, ”says ArtifexLV.
“When ArtifexLV offered me to create a joint song, I had some doubts, because his name is not yet widely known to Latvian music lovers,” admits Jānis Stībelis.
“However, I thought – the young people should also be given a chance. As soon as I listened to the demo of the song, I realized that the song is appropriate for me. I started writing the words, and we met in the studio very soon to sing it. ”
“Please do not go!” tells about a meeting, about moments that cannot be forgotten, about love and about the fear of losing what has only recently been gained.
