Steam Deck will debut at the end of 2021, but the device is already being sold to other developers and publishers. As you know Sony took care of the new PlayStation PC publishing brand and apparently the company wants to make sure that PlayStation productions will work properly on Valve’s portable platform.
Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that he has already received the equipment, so now the PlayStation representative will be able to check how Horizon Zero Dawn or Days Gon works on the small screen. At the beginning of next year, we will also launch God of War on the device.
PlayStation intends to release games for PC and Steam, so Steam Deck could prove to be a very important platform for the Japanese. At least, the company does not currently intend to offer a successor to PlayStation Vity, but the Valve device will allow players in the field to explore adventures such as God of War.
