Plane crashes medical supplies in Argentina

Sputnik reported that several people died after a plane carrying vital medical supplies crashed near an airport in Argentina.

Media confirmed that the plane was carrying 4 people and crashed near Escale Airport in Chubut province in Argentina.

After the plane crash, a huge fire broke out, as firefighters and police officers rushed to the scene immediately, according to the British newspaper “Mirror”.

Reports indicated that the plane was close to landing at Eskil Airport, amid heavy fog that caused lack of vision.

According to the Argentine news agency, the plane was carrying a doctor, nurse and two crew members, as well as medical supplies to tackle the emerging coronavirus, which causes the disease (Covid 19).

According to local media, the plane is a “Learjet 35”. Noting that the names of the victims have not been officially announced yet.

Another Argentine newspaper reported that the plane was on its way to transport a patient in need of health care that could not be provided in the Chubut region.

“The plane was coming from Santa Fe Province, and the accident could have been due to fog, which made the landing exercises difficult,” the newspaper said.
