Recently, Duchess Meghan (39) and Prince Harry (36) have hijacked a lot of space after they lined up for interview with Oprah Winfrey (67). In the interview they went hard against the British royal family.
Duchess Meghan explained, among other things, that she did not receive any kind of guidance when she became part of the royal family.
– There was no guidance. Contrary to what you see in movies, there are no courses on how to talk, cross your legs or how to behave like royalty. I was not offered that, said the Duchess to Winfrey, according to Sky News.

Royal girlfriend
One who can recognize himself in this is Pia Haraldsen (39). She was in fact a girlfriend Accounting Officer Guillaume av Luxembourg (39) for two years.
The two became a couple after Ari Behn and Princess Märtha Louise’s (49) wedding in 2002. Guillaume is the eldest son of Grand Duke Henri (65) and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa (64), and became heir apparent when his father took over the throne in 2000.
About Harry and Meghan: – Respect them
– I met the Grand Duke family very early in the relationship. They are nice and down to earth, and I was very well received, Haraldsen told Se og Hør in 2012.
In 2004, however, they went their separate ways, and to Se og Hør, Haraldsen described Guillaume as his first great love.
Now, after watching the duke’s Oprah interview, Haraldsen eases the veil on what it was like for her to be thrown straight into the royal world.

– What did you think of Harry and Meghan’s interview?
– I think it was a good interview, and I recognized myself in some of what they said. I think it’s tough that they stand up and tell their story, and about what they think is right and wrong, she says when See and Hear strikes the thread.

Received no guidance
When asked what Haraldsen recognized herself in, she answers:
– That was what Duchess Meghan said about her never receiving any guidance about her role or any training, which I did not receive either. I was just thrown right into it and I was very young, only 20 years old.
Therefore, she left «Camp Kulinaris»
– I was not given any advice on how to handle the situation. Now I would have done it completely differently as I am an adult woman and have been in the media for several years, but then I was young and a student. It was a strain, she adds.
Haraldsen admits, however, that she came out of the relationship with Guillaume stronger, and points out that she remembers the period as a great time despite the fact that it was also challenging.
– We were young and in love. I got to experience a lot of fun and participate in a lot of exciting things. I look back on it as a nice period, but it was also tough, she admits.
–
Haraldsen also points out that there was not much talk about mental health at that time.
– Today there is more openness about it. I struggled with a lot that I have not thought about, such as anxiety. I also became paranoid and struggled to trust other people. So it is very good that there has been more focus on mental health now, she continues.
– Have you had any contact with Guillaume afterwards?
– We barely had contact a few years later, when we both lived in London and had mutual friends, but we have no contact today. He is a married man and has children, Haraldsen answers.
– I may have to get better at saying yes to dates
Dreaming of a husband
Following the break-up, Guillaume married Belgian Stéphanie de Lannoy (37) in the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg. Both the Norwegian royal couple, the crown prince couple and Princess Märtha Louise were present at the wedding.
When it comes to Haraldsen’s marital status, she can announce that she is single as of today.
– It’s boring, but it’s not so easy to meet someone right now. I almost just have to wait a bit. Hopefully it will be a little easier to go on a date this summer. I have not actually hugged a person outside the family since before the pandemic, she says with a laugh.
However, Haraldsen has a desire to find a partner.
– I want a husband and family man. It was easier when you were younger, but now you are more careful and want to get to know a person better before entering into a relationship. I can go for a lunch and dinner, but it usually stops there. I have not met anyone interesting yet.
Secret wedding: – Never happened
– What is your dream man?
– Someone who is down to earth, has empathy and who can be a supporter, it is important. Humor is also important, and the fact that you can make each other laugh and that he likes my humor. I also want someone I can be myself with, and that you can say what you think and feel. And someone who has good energy and a person you can relax with, Haraldsen answers.

Holds lectures
Haraldsen is educated in media and communication and has previously worked for VG, TV 2 and the youth magazine mag.
Over the years, Haraldsen has been seen in a number of TV programs, including “Skal vi danse”, “Rikets Røst”, “Kakekrigen” and most recently last year – “Camp Kulinaris”. In recent years, however, she has kept busy with various projects, in addition to giving lectures on topics such as fashion, trends, wedding planning and mental health.
Pulled into the royal noise
– I work on giving lectures, but right now I can not give as many due to the coronary restrictions. It’s a shame I should actually give a lecture on mental health, but it will have to wait until the autumn. Then a few other different projects and a little commercial collaboration have been started, she says.

Haraldsen also has a dream of focusing more on health in general, and not just mental health in his lectures.
– I have insomnia, so I have a desire to use my experience to help others. Health is the most important thing, she says.
