The second plant of “Printful” of the “Draugiem Group” company has started operating ASV Charlotte, a spokesman for Draugiem Group, told Delfi Jānis Palkavnieks.

Lauris Liberts, the founder of Draugiem Group, points out that the company has printed more than a million t-shirts and half a million other printed items. “We already have a second plant in the USA and we will open a third one in a European country within a year. The future plan is to become the first Latvian company to be listed on the US Stock Exchange,” he reveals.
The Charlotte plant will employ 200 people, including five Latvian citizens to run the company. The 9,000-square-meter plant will house printing equipment for printing t-shirts, posters, mugs, pillowcases, hats, bags, leggings and other products.
“The new plant will employ 200 local people in 2018, and it is a beautiful gift to Charlotte in Latvia’s centenary,” said Latvian Ambassador to the United States Andris Teikmanis at the opening of the plant.
Printful is a printing outsourcing company that allows online stores to offer their printing products without investing in production equipment. Printful currently employs 37 people in Latvia and more than 200 factories in Los Angeles.
Printful’s turnover last year was $ 8.746 million, making it the largest and fastest growing company, Draugiem Group.
The Draugiem Group comprises more than 10 different companies with more than 250 employees, 150 of whom are employed at the Printful US plant. Draugiem Group turnover in 2015 was 22.855 million euros, but profit was 2.355 million euros.
