At the end of last week, a concert of the group’s “but bet” 30th anniversary concert was held in the summer concert hall of the “Hanseatic platform” crowded in Riga, during which the band’s drummer and songwriter Guntara Rača the grand opening of Part 3 of the new book of poems “365”.

During the event, the band performed various songs, including previously less heard songs, from their ten studio albums. In the end, of course, the band’s best-known hits were sounded – “Why I Don’t Have Red Mercedes”, “Day”, “I Don’t Care About Everything”, “Little Fight” and while standing, the legendary Maestro “Silent Song”.
After the concert, the group members gave autographs in the group’s new 60-song book, which contains not only song notes, lyrics and harmonies, but also the group’s biography and photos. Guntars Račs had to make a special effort, who also wrote a word or a wish for everyone who autographed in his new book of poems.
The new book is a continuation of the first two parts of the book “365”, which have become real bestsellers. They compile poems that the author created and published daily in 2017 in the special GR365 Facebook account, which became the most sought-after books in 2017 and 2018. In the new book, Guntars has published poems written this year from January 1 to July 2. Consequently, the fourth part of the book continues to be published every day this year and will be published in early February next year.
Guntars Račs: “After I had published parts 1 and 2 of the book“ 365 ”, my life took a turn for the worse and I almost every other day visited a library or culture house where people wanted to hear my poetry. After the 2017 challenge, I had decided that I would never get involved in such an “affair” again, because writing a new poem every day, under which I could sign even after many years, was a very serious challenge. T
Thanks came a pandemic and freed up time because all the concerts were canceled or scheduled. And I decided to fill this time usefully by resuming writing one poem a day.
I know that for some of my brothers in office, it seems comical and amusing, but I have defined it for myself as being in constant shape. I train all the time, I read a lot more and the quality bar of my own poem rises higher and higher. Others may not notice it, but this time it is enough for me to be aware of it myself. Thanks to everyone who reads and shares my work. I do it all for you, but I get feedback every day, in the form of letters, calls and verbal thanks. ”
During the Poetry Days in September, it will be possible to meet Guntars at small events, the nearest of which will take place – September 10 in Vaiņode, September 11 in Degumnieki Folk House, September 20 in Asare Culture House a October 1 in Tervete.
