PFASTATT. Golden weddings for Pinero couples

They were both born in 1953, in Oran. They were baptized in the same church, three weeks apart. But it was in Mulhouse that Annie Linares and Patrice Pinero met briefly, when they lived as children in the Mer-Rouge business area and went to school in Dornach. They met again a few years later, at Annie’s sister’s wedding. This is where their story really began.

After the Algerian war, Patrice’s parents came to Alsace where they had family – just like Annie’s. Shortly after, the father, a cabinetmaker, opened his own business. Patrice first worked as a fitter in textile machinery at Ets Deck. “Then, when the textile industry collapsed, my father offered to join him, on the condition that I pass the Compagnon certificate”, explains the Pfastattois.

When his father retired in 2004, the son worked at Klein-Albert, before being hired at Afpa, in Pfastatt, as a carpentry trainer.

After the wedding, celebrated on January 5, 1973, Annie raised their two boys, Damien, born that year, and Lionel, who was born in 1977. The children grew up, she worked at the Saint-Sauveur clinic . Started as a hospital service agent, she ended up in charge of lingerie.

Patrice indulges in pétanque, diving and underwater photography in the summer, when Annie prefers embroidery, knitting, coloring and watercolours. Both also enjoy walking and travelling.

The newspaper wishes them a long time to enjoy their activities and their five grandchildren.
