Rokky explained that Peugeot was withdrawing from Indonesia as a result of the principal’s decision. Stellantis as a major company is said to want to end sales in Indonesia.

“Based on information from Stellantis as a Peugeot principal, Stellantis has made a strategic decision to stop selling Peugeot in Indonesia. This is related to Stellantis’ business growth strategy in the ASEAN region,” he explained.

“Astra respects this decision,” he continued.

So what’s next for Peugeot customers in Indonesia?

Rokky ensures that his party remains committed to providing after sales services.

“As usual with the same level of service as before,” he said.

Currently Peugeot after-sales services are spread over 4 points throughout Indonesia, including;

1. Peugeot Sunter (Jakarta)
2. Peugeot Cilandak (Jakarta)
3. Peugeot only
4. Peugeot Surabaya

“Home service services remain valid as usual. Everything related to after-sales services has not changed, including the supply of spare parts and warranty claims,” explained Rokky.

In Indonesia, Peugeot focuses on the marketing of SUVs, including; Peugeot 5008, 3008 and 2008. Peugeot’s slow decline is also reflected in Gaikindo’s wholesale data.

For example, in 2023 wholesale, Peugeot distributed 199 units. It is down compared to 2022, which could send 451 units. Meanwhile, in 2021, Peugeot will distribute 265 units.

Even compared to year-on-year data in January – March 2024, Peugeot fell by around 67 percent. The French brand has only released 28 units this year.
