Peter Wouters will remain chairman of Movement.net for longer

Peter Wouters has been elected for a second term as general chairman of Movement.net, the network of Christian social organizations. He received 94 percent of the vote at Saturday’s general meeting.

Wouters has been at the helm of the organization since 2017, which has eleven founding members: the ACV, the CM, Familiehulp, WSM, the international committee, the KWB, Femma world women, the KAJ, Pasar, OKRA and Samana. In addition, Arktos, Intro group, Pax Christi, Welzijnszorg and Felies are associated partners.

During his first term, Wouters transformed Movement.net from a previously geographically organized to a thematically organized internal machine, the organization reports. ‘At the moment the main points of the substantive priorities are being defined and that will be the task for the chairman in the coming period. It is already established that an active political strategy will have to yield more ambitious politicians and more influence in the political parties.
