Peter Gillis Reacts to Nicol Kremers Postponing Book Publication: Assault Allegations and Lawsuits

Peter Gillis reacts laconically to the news that Nicol Kremers has postponed the publication of her book. “Yes, I read it. She has to know for herself, I will move on with my own life.” If the book is published, Gillis’s demand will remain the same. “If there is a book, it must contain the truth. Especially when it comes to me.”

Gillis responds at RTL Boulevard on the news that Nicol is postponing her book. According to her management, Nicol is going through a difficult emotional period, which would make completing her biography too heavy a burden. That’s what her manager Wouter van Dort says to the program.

“She is confronted too much with the past.”

Kremers is currently being treated again for PTSD. She is getting help for that, says her manager. According to Van Dort, the recent confrontation with Gillis in the Utrecht court is the main reason why she was again treated for PTSD, according to the manager. “It went very well, but you notice that certain relapses are possible, because she is then confronted too much with the past,” he says about the impact of the lawsuit.

Earlier this month, the two ex-lovers were in court because Gillis believes that she is not adhering to a confidentiality obligation in a settlement agreement. He wants Nicol to stop speaking to the media about the relationship they had for years and demands access to the book before publication.

Gillis is afraid that Nicol Kremers’ book contains things he does not like. The boss of Oostappengroep is now also being prosecuted for assault on Nicol Kremers. The Public Prosecution Service is investigating at least ten cases of abuse.

Nicol says she no longer recognizes that agreement at all. Her lawyer announced last week that she was terminating that agreement. Moreover, the agreement was also signed under duress, according to Kremers. The court in Utrecht will rule on November 30 in the summary proceedings that Peter has initiated against Nicol.

“The autobiography should not be at its own expense.”

The question is whether the book will still be published. Van Dort does not foresee any problems. “Yet it could also be a possibility that she says: ‘I have learned from these treatments that maybe I should leave the past alone and look to the future.’ Ultimately we can advise her on this, but it is and remains her choice.” The autobiography should ‘not be at her expense’, the manager believes. “That is not worth it, of course.”
