Perversion and corruption are not viruses

Before the arrival of Covid-19 and its consequences, our country was infested. When I say the country, it is in fact the officials, politicians and decision-makers. All state agents (executive power, legislative power, administration, military, etc.) are involved. All, yes, all are deviants and accomplices. The degree of corruption varies from person to person. The evil manager cultivates his malice, hijacks the law to show his intelligence and his know-how, without any scruples. This is the myth of the resourceful, clever Lebanese, knowing how to take advantage of circumstances by deceiving others. The personality is often attractive, lavishing largesse on a profiteer and accomplice entourage. There is a movement of exchange between the “I” and the “community we”. The subject of individual pleasure and subject of community enjoyment merge.

All at the expense of the state structure.

This perversion is in the minds of those responsible, in their identity structure. Corruption, abuse of power, illicit profits and gains. It’s stable software in their minds. The identity of the political is stratified (a dose of corruption, a toxic dose of clanism, a dose of communitarianism), and the whole covered with confessionalism. Note that the deviant stubbornness in their operation leads them to unacceptable extremist positions. This results in a flawed dictatorship. This dictatorship drags the country and all the people towards a deadly drift. It is a collective suicide imposed and not considered. The Lebanese are degrading, they are in fact destitute and diminished (in search of the most basic material needs and, the most serious, the needs in medicine and oxygen). The people, disoriented, disorganized, can no longer react. He is taken aback and resigns himself. Overwhelmed by difficulties, young people are cut off from their dreams. A blocked future, their entrepreneurial spirit stopped. They only think about leaving the country.

Our evil leaders have no limits. Their mafia group enacts laws, circumvents the laws to their advantage, leaving crumbs for those around them and followers. What have they done with the country’s economy, industry, agriculture? What have they done with the country’s infrastructure (water, electricity, road network and future plan for school, university, and especially the social and hospital system!)?

What have they done for the monetary system?

Our leaders have corrupted the people by promoting their vices. The people let themselves be fooled by certain immediate advantages (circumventing the law, taking shelter with the chief, being satisfied with certain personal advantages) to the detriment of the public good. While being guilty, the people will have to react, find honest guides to react and dislodge the executioners.

Officials have robbed the country and deflected all the cogs of society. And with what arrogance in the face of the crime in the port of Beirut on August 4, 2020, officials are trying to hijack the law to complicate the work of justice. The crime of the port is not a natural disaster (earthquake, flood, volcanic eruption), it is human action. After the element of surprise, the innocent deaths and the destruction, there is a feeling of insecurity, of mourning, of suffering. There is a feeling of rupture in the harmony of our being and our culture. We need an intelligible cause, a truth to reassure our rational view of the world. This is what our elected officials refuse to do. Someone must respond rationally to stop our collective anxiety and reassure humans about the unknown of their destiny.

In addition, supposedly intelligent, rogue and scheming groups are negotiating the formation of a government. The only quality sought in ministers is their petty allegiance to one or the other chieftain.

Those in charge discuss their piece of the cake like mafia bosses. We never see a recovery plan, plans for the recovery of the country, recovery of sectors in difficulty. In short, the interest of the people, the standard of living and social stability. On the other hand, what is well organized is contraband, the flight of products to neighboring countries. All this in the light of the alleged legality. The illegal entry into the country of various goods and products without paying customs.

The country is falling apart, our leaders cultivate “discord” and clan interests. The administration in crumbs is at the mercy of a small chief in a militiaman style, each in its kind, and its legal space!

All our leaders, all categories, must be tried for high treason. How can they accept the fall of the country, the explosion of the port, the deaths, the damage and no reaction?

Lebanon can be saved.

Friends and international organizations are ready to help us.

The Lebanese must support the state with the help of working groups that are formed at different levels.

The Lebanese will trust honest and dedicated guides for the public cause.

The Lebanese will not trust those who deceived him, he will restore national sovereignty and his free choice.

The Lebanese will reject the external stranglehold on the country.

The Lebanese must count on the magistrates who must correct the deviants and the perverts.

The Lebanese must rely on the army and its leadership for order and border protection.

The Lebanese can and should react to heal perversion, corruption and discord.
