The police in Perry in the state of Iowa in the USA report a shooting incident at the city’s high school.

The city’s police chief Adam Infante says at a press briefing that there are more victims of the shooting incident, but that the situation is under control. He did not provide further information.
– It is still unclear how many are injured or how seriously injured they are, but we are working to find out. There is no further danger at the site, says Infante.
ABC News have spoken to a source in the police who states that at least one person is dead and several others injured.
According to police sources to NBC the alleged perpetrator must have died from self-inflicted injuries.
Three others are said to be injured, according to NBC’s sources.
NBC also writes that US President Joe Biden has been informed of the situation. There are a large number of police cars and ambulances at the building which houses both the town’s secondary school and upper secondary school.
The upper secondary school is part of a school district with 1,785 pupils. It was the first day of school after the holidays for the students in the city.
Perry is approximately 40 miles from the state capital, Des Moines.
