Three people have been arrested after reports of people being observed with a pistol, machete and iron bars on Tøyen in Oslo on Sunday night.
Police have seized a crowbar and knives after the arrest, and a car has been towed in.
At 23.11, they state that the active search is being scaled down.
A persistent search was launched for several suspicious people after the first sighting reports at 22.20.
In addition to the machete and iron rods, the police patrol on the spot was also informed that a pistol had been observed.
– As of now, we have control of three people who are arrested. We are still searching for more people who should have run from the place. A pistol must also have been observed, the message read Twitter at 22.40.
The background to the incident is not known.
– We are in the acute phase now and do not know much more yet, said operations manager Christian Krohn Engeseth to TV 2 at 22.30 on Sunday.
– There must have been talk of threats and the use of iron bars and machete. In addition, some windows on the site are said to have been broken.
No one was injured in the incident.
