The only surviving shark model from the Oscar-winning film Jaws has found its home at the Los Angeles Film Museum. The shark weighs over half a ton, measures 7.6 meters and is called Bruce.

The same name was given to the three models that were used for the shooting itself. It was the first name of Steven Spielberg’s lawyer Bruce Ramer. The crew had technical difficulties with mechanical machines when shooting in the ocean all the time, so there are not many scenes with a shark. According to the fans, the film makes it scarier and more exciting, it is surrounded by a mystical reputation. When it was screened 45 years ago, many spectators escaped from the cinema due to fear.
The fourth model, which got under the ceiling on one floor of the museum thanks to a crane, was the last, which was made according to the original form, the museum claims. The first three were coated with latex and rubber, this Bruce is made of laminate and was used mainly to promote the film. He spent a quarter of a century in a landfill before it was restored.
