Pensions in Ukraine will cease to be delivered: how the new rules will work

In Ukraine, from September 1, 2021, they will stop delivering pensions to everyone except those with limited mobility. The rest need to contact the bank, open an account. After that, the financial institution will transfer the data to the Pension Fund and begin to charge payments to the card.

Home delivery of pensions will be carried out only for people with limited mobility, in particular, people with disabilities of group I, those who are over 80 years old and those who, according to the conclusion of the VKK (medical advisory commission), need outside care, reports “Commander-in-Chief”.

“We have a one-touch procedure for this event. A pensioner or a recipient of social assistance chooses a banking institution, applies there, draws up an account, information about the account comes from the bank independently to the authority that provides payment. A person does not need to go anywhere again,” said the Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vitaly Muzychenko.

The Deputy Minister noted that until September 1, a pensioner can independently choose one of 40 banks, which will be convenient for him and meet his requirements.

“Today, almost 70% of people receiving payments through banking institutions have chosen their bank on their own,” he said.

Muzychenko added that if citizens do not choose a bank by September, then the payment authority will independently open bank accounts and inform about it.

As previously wrote OBOZREVATEL, from September 2021, pensions will be paid in a new way. Everyone, except for Ukrainians over 80 years old and inactive, must open bank accounts and receive payments to the card… This was done in order to save money on the delivery of payments using postmen.
