Pemprov DKI Regarding Anies Era IMB in Tanah Merah: For the Basic Needs of Citizens

Jakarta

Head of DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Service, Sarjoko, explained the issue of building permits (IMB) for the area in Tanah Merah, North Jakarta. Anies Baswedan while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta. Sarjoko said the IMB was issued to meet the needs of residents.

“For the IMB that was given by PT, it’s actually just support so that basic service needs there can be met. For example clean water, drinking water, then road accessibility, right, for economic mobility,” said Sarjoko, Monday (6 /3/2023).

However, Sarjoko did not know the exact scope of the area that Anies had granted the IMB. He said the long-term settlement in the Tanah Merah area was still being discussed.

“So for the time being, we are still waiting for the long-term settlement planning policy,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the discourse regarding the relocation of residents or the Pertamina Plumpang depot after the fire is still being discussed. He said the Provincial Government of DKI and Pertamina were still coordinating.

“We are still looking for what the long-term settlement option is, we don’t know what to choose,” said Sarjoko.

Previously, the Rawabadak Selatan RW 09 Village Consultative Body (LMK) explained the beginning of the IMB grant on Jalan Tanah Merah. Member of LMK Rawabadak Selatan RW 09, Frangky Mardongan said that Jokowi had inaugurated the RT-RW.

“So in 2013, our land was officially the domicile of the RT RW and it was inaugurated when Pak Jokowi became governor, Jokowi-Ahok. That is proof of partisanship, we used to have a political contract, our parents, how about our place domicile recognized for the right to social services and all kinds of things,” said Frangky.

Frangky explained that when Anies was governor of DKI, he issued an area permit. He said the IMB was issued as a form of government alignment as a win win solution on the land.

“So regarding the permit for the IMB, during Mr. Anies’ government, we already got the IMB. So for ourselves, this is in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Decree 86 issued by Mr. Jokowi, namely land like this, state land, state-owned land that is controlled by the community. It can be distributed among the people in the community,” he said.

Frangky was reluctant to talk further about the bustle of the Anies-era building permit, which became the focus after the Plumpang depot fire. He hopes the survivors can recover soon.

“Those who died were given compensation, only those related to the destroyed houses were renovated first as proof that Pertamina was responsible. That was from us,” he said.
