Mexican oil (Pemex) received this Monday the rejection of the 25% discount on wages among its trusted employees, for which it warned them that the measure was taken to “avoid the dismissal of workers and a deeper crisis with serious consequences.”
Juan Carlos Granados Hernández, manager of the Exploration and Production Subdirectorate for Contracts and Associations, explained that due to “the personal financial commitments related to my livelihood and that of my family, it is not possible for me to support the measure – of austerity – since I would put my livelihood and the fulfillment of previously acquired obligations at risk ”.
By means of a letter sent to Franco O. Veites Palavicini Pesquera, Pemex’s deputy director of Human Capital, he added that for this reason “I do not authorize Petróleos Mexicanos and / or the State Productive Company to which I am attached, so I can discount any amount or percentage of the payment of payroll that affects my salary (whether net, gross or integrated) and / or any of the benefits to which I am entitled in terms of the applicable regulations ”.

In the letter PEP-DG-SEPCA-GOCAE-290-2020, the official referred to the communication issued by the administrative liaison unit of the Corporate Directorate of Administration and Services (DCAS) in “the framework of the austerity measures published on yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Federation, DECREE establishing the asuterity measures to be observed by the agencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration, under the criteria indicated therein. “
This measure details Pemex, it is for the common good and thus avoid the dismissal of workers, a deeper crisis with serious consequences, “so it is of utmost importance to appeal to the solidarity of all.”
