Florence, August 1, 2020 – Nine people have been reported for the crimes of disclosure, transfer and possession of child pornography and for instigation to aggravate crime. The investigation was completed by police post, coordinated by the deputy attorney of Florence Luca Tescaroli. The searches were carried out on July 28th.
The investigation, investigators say, originated from the analysis performed on the cell phone of a person searched for similar facts on which they were found chat, child pornography images and videos, with the involvement of very young children. At the end of the activity, conducted on the main social networks, the Florence postal police he identified the people who for various reasons held or exchanged child pornography images and videos for which the assistant prosecutor Tescaroli issued the search decrees allowing to block the progressive diffusion of the participants in the group.
In the chat they exchanged advice on how to evade the investigative activities of the postal police, on where to find material and on how to erase the traces. The searches, coordinated by the Child Protection Center of the Postal Police Service of Rome, were carried out in Tuscany – a Florence e Lucca -, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio and Sicily. The oldest of the group has just turned 55, the youngest is 19. Seized dozens of mobile phones and computers. Analyzing the telephone of one of the nine, the investigators still say, the presence of Telegram channels has emerged where, in order to access the child pornography content, it is necessary to first pay 15 euros per channel.
