Pedestrian Killed and Three Injured in Manhattan Accident

A pedestrian was killed and three others were injured after a vehicle hit them on the streets of Gramercy, in Manhattan, on Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 7:30 pm at the intersection of 21st Street and Third Avenue.

According to police information, the 26-year-old driver of a Hyundai vehicle crashed on the aforementioned corner, impacting 3 people who were on the spot and a cyclist.

The four injured were transported to Bellview Hospital, where one of the 23-year-olds was pronounced dead.

Another 23-year-old man is in critical condition, while two young men, ages 21 and 18, were reported stable.

A woman who was traveling as a co-pilot in the car suffered a minor injury.

The driver was taken into custody and It is being investigated whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
