Pedestrian injured after collision with police bus in Noord

A police bus collided with a pedestrian on the Klaprozenweg in Noord around 9.45 pm. The victim was injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The officer who was driving the van was on his way to a report urgently and drove with flashing lights on. The accident happened after the pedestrian jumped from the median strip at Ms. van Riemsdijkweg crossed the road. Someone tried to stop her, but they couldn’t avoid the collision.

A police spokesman said the woman was approachable. The Traffic Accident Analysis (VOA) is still investigating how the accident could have happened. There are also interviews with witnesses.
