Pedestrian Killed in Car Crash on Route 146 in Sutton: 34-Year-Old Nicole Young

Massachusetts State Police have identified the pedestrian killed in a car crash on Route 146 north in Sutton on Saturday evening as 34-year-old Thompson, Connecticut, resident Nicole Young.

Troopers responded to the crash near exit 13 at 6:35 p.m. and soon located Young, state police said in a press release. First responders treated her for life-threatening injuries at the scene before rushing her to UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Driver and Passengers Unharmed

Young was declared dead at the hospital, state police said. The driver and passengers in the vehicle that struck her were not injured in the crash.

Investigation Ongoing

It is unclear if the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police or if they will face charges. Authorities also have not provided an explanation for why Young was walking on the highway at the time of the crash.
