Peace Festival of Nature Friends with exhibition and music by “PoliTokk”

The Friends of Nature invite you to a “Peace and Future Festival” on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 5 p.m. in the Mühlbergheim, Kantstr. 21, Pfungstadt, a. On September 1st it was anti-war day, the NaturFreunde would like to draw attention to the many wars in the world with a cultural event and exhibition in Mühlbergheim and thus remind that wars are responsible for the many flows of refugees, which is why people are fleeing war and persecution worldwide. At the same time it is connected with the fact that they tolerate “no place for racism” in our country. The festival begins with the opening of the AWO touring exhibition “Our signs and voices against racism”, which goes back to an action in the refugee support: people could leave their personal sign against racism on large mobile tarpaulins. The result is works of art, but also invisible things: contacts, thoughts and exchanges about a problem that affects us all. The exhibition is intended to encourage conversations, to understand what is meant by democracy, where racism is experienced, and what everyone can practically do about it. For this purpose, the sign “Respect! No place for racism ”, which will in future remind of humanity and tolerance in this place. The guests are the group “Politokk”, four Naturfreunde members and independent music teachers from Offenbach: Ruth and Lutz Eichhorn (vocals and guitar), Günter Deister (vocals and percussion) and Johannes Bähr (vocals, cello, flutes, accordion, Bass). They have a common love for beautiful songs with content from many centuries and enjoy songs by rebellious, uncomfortable, loud and quiet people, with texts and music that encourage, inspire, make you smile, that excite and sometimes make you dream. “Old future songs” is their motto, timeless songs, still relevant in terms of content, hit the nerve – and they should not be forgotten. This creates a connection to the present time, in order to remind again and again that history cannot repeat itself. Strength advisors from NaturFreunde guide you through the program. Admission, drinks and snacks are free, donations are welcome. The Peace and Future Festival is funded by the Partnership for Democracy in Pfungstadt as part of the federal program “Live Democracy!” By the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth in cooperation with the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and Sport. The currently valid Corona rules apply. Contact and information are possible at [email protected].
