Yogyakarta – DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Yogyakarta urged that the perpetrators and masterminds of the burning of party flags that occurred in Jakarta be processed by law. As a form of support for law enforcement, cadres in Yogyakarta as a whole symbol wave the flags of the parties simultaneously at the home of each board.
DPC PDI City Struggle Leader Yogyakarta Eko Suwanto said that in response to the party flag burning action, cadres in Yogyakarta symbolized raising the party’s flag at their respective homes. “Earlier we coordinated, one of which was to ensure that each board installed a Party flag at their respective residences,” he said in his written statement on Saturday 27 June 2020.
According to Eko, all elements of party cadres were not willing if there were outside parties who acted out of bounds. Burning party bikes as well as harassing the PDI Constitutionally legitimate struggle has gained the people’s trust, elected in the 2014 general elections, and 2019 including being the party carrying bearers Joko Widodo – Maruf Amin.

Deputy Chairperson of the Yogyakarta PDI-P DPC Subagyo said, in accordance with the daily instructions of Megawati Soekarnoputri, Satgas Andika Wiratama, the Yogyakarta PDI-DPC DPC was ready at the forefront in guarding party authority. That attitude was stated in the five statements of attitude responding to the burning of the party’s flag.
The first is condemning and rejecting anarchist actions over the destruction and burning of party symbols. Secondly, handing over the legal process and resolution of the case to law enforcement and security forces immediately moves to arrest all perpetrators, responsible parties and funders of the action.
He said the firm position was that the Task Force Andika Wiratama invited all parties to implement democracy in accordance with the Pancasila principle, which is to respect and obey the laws in force in Indonesia.
