A huge tank stopped in front of the building of a kitchen interior design company in England. The white-haired man standing in front of him held up a placard full of dissatisfaction. It was his unique protest as he was angry at the company’s poor construction after requesting remodeling.

According to the British daily Telegraph on the 29th (local time), Paul Gibbons (63), who lives in Kingsclare, Hampshire, entrusted kitchen construction to the Basingstoke branch of the interior design company ‘Wix’ in February. At a cost of £25,000 (about 41 million won), his kitchen was due to be transformed with high-quality materials and furniture in two weeks.

However, the results were more disastrous than expected. The doors and drawers did not close properly and were shaking, and the furniture handles were also crooked. The finish was not in good condition, so it was scratchy and messy here and there. Moreover, there was even dark blue mold growing under the sink.

Gibbons claimed that not only did the company not meet the quality standards originally promised, but it has not acknowledged the poor construction for ten months. Then, as a sign of protest, a tank was brought and parked in front of the building at the Basingstoke branch that was in charge of construction. This is the Abbott SPG tank used by the British military during the Cold War.

The tank also had a placard written using the initials spelling wickes that read, “Warning against incompetent and complacent kitchen suppliers.” However, it did not mention where the tank was taken from.

Meanwhile, a Wicks spokesperson said, “We are aware of the situation at the Basingstoke branch. “We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who visited the store,” he said, adding, “The company’s customer care team is in contact with the person concerned to resolve the issue.”
