“Patrick Roy Not Concerned with NHL Coaching Rumors Amid Gilles-Courteau Trophy Final Preparations”

The departure of Gerard Gallant with the New York Rangers has revived rumors of an NHL return for Patrick Roy and the main interested party is not concerned at all.

Analyst Kevin Weekes posted a tweet suggesting Roy could be a candidate to replace Gallant in the Big Apple.

In full preparation for the Gilles-Courteau Trophy final, which gets under way on Friday between the Quebec Remparts and the Halifax Mooseheads, Roy assured not to worry too much about the fact that the rumor machine had left .

“When my name goes around, it’s not a good sign. It means that I don’t have much chance of having a job, ”he quipped.

A championship with the Remparts could however increase its rating with the formations of the Bettman circuit, pointed out to him a colleague.

“I don’t even care to know. If they want to call me, they have my phone number and they’ll find a way to reach me. I put zero focus on it.”
