Patient threatens hospital staff with scissors, police fire warning shot | Inland

“The man initially did not react to pepper spray, but after a warning shot he dropped the scissors,” said spokesman Chantal Westerhoff of the East Netherlands police. The hospital then called the police. “No one was injured.”

The incident took place around 1.15 pm. An eyewitness told De Telegraaf that eight police officers stormed into the hospital. According to the visitor, two military police were also present at the hospital.

Police and Marechaussee received support from security staff. All visitors to the hospital had to wait in the central hall. After ten minutes, the matter was under control.
