Mr. José Ángel Solís accused that after three months of insistence, he received part of the medicine that his mother requires to treat her heart disease, a fact that he assured happened in Clinic 2 of the Institute of Security and Social Services of Workers at the Service of the Powers of the State of Puebla (ISSSTEP).
With a prescription in hand, Mr. Solís indicated that a couple of months ago his mother had been given the corresponding prescriptions for the supply of Clopidogrel, a medicine that he said prevents the formation of clots and reduces the risk of heart attack in the patient.
By not receiving it, the family had to buy the medicine during these months with their own resources, a situation that they assured, at the moment it hits their pocket since the cost in private pharmacies is around a thousand pesos.
“I have not received the full medicine for three months, my mother has heart disease and is a member of the ISSSTEP. She receives medical attention at clinic 2 and, the first time, they gave me part of the medicine but Clopidogrel was missing, which is the most important drug because it helps prevent her heart problems, ”she shared.
The beneficiary indicated that until just this week he received the medication in question, however, the complementary ones, which are folic acid and acetylsalicylic acid, were missing.
Although he acknowledged that these drugs are less expensive and he has the ability to buy them on his own, he regretted that he has to wait so long for an effective supply of the drugs.
He added that another of the medicines that has also been lacking lately is diphenifol, so he asked the institute to address this problem, since the elderly are the ones who mainly require this type of drug.
