Winston-Salem police are investigating a murder this Monday morning and, as part of that investigation, portions of North Patterson Avenue will be closed.
The police announced the closure through their social networks.
“North Patterson Avenue will be closed between 27th and 26th for a homicide investigation,” notes a brief release in social networks.
According to the authorities’ own information, there is a lot of police presence in the area.
In addition to the closure for the investigation in this area, Police also reported an accident at the intersection of East Northwest Boulevard and North Patterson Avenue.
Due to the accident, a power pole was damaged, as well as some power lines, after a passing truck dumped the lines that were already damaged.
It is not clear if the accident and the murder are related.But if you drive on North Patterson Avenue or East Northwest Boulevard, take your precautions, as Winston-Salem authorities have not said how long they will be closed.
