Parliamentary elections 2021: Who enters the new parliament according to CEC data

As of 11:30 a.m. on April 5, the Central Election Commission had processed 66.94 percent of the election protocols.

At an extraordinary briefing, the commission acknowledged that the adoption of the protocols was slow and difficult and that the vote count was likely to be delayed.

In percentage terms, GERB received 25.63 percent of the vote, followed by “There is such a people” with 18.34 percent.

In third place is the BSP with 14.87 percent, and in fourth place – Democratic Bulgaria with 10.27 percent. The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) remains in fifth place with 9.08 percent of the vote. The coalition between the Poison Trio and Maya Manolova – “Stand up! Get out!” – collects 4.95 percent.

The “voivodes” from IMRO are moving around the 4% barrier, and currently have 3.57 percent of the vote. The BNO coalition has 3.08 percent, and the VOLIA-NFSB coalition has 2.45 percent.

Turnout was 40.18 per cent, meaning that more than 2.62 million Bulgarians exercised their right to vote. “I do not support anyone” have been crossed out by 31,281 Bulgarians.

The highest turnout was in Smolyan district – 46.91 percent. The lowest was in Kardzhali district – 23.59 percent. For Sofia-district the turnout is 46.53 percent, and for Sofia-city – about 40 percent.

According to interim data, with 98.6 per cent of the protocols processed from abroad, “There is such a people” received 30.34 of the votes of Bulgarians who voted outside the country.




In second place are compatriots abroad ranking “Democratic Bulgaria” with 17.67 percent. In third place is the MRF with 13.56% support.

GERB is only fourth with 8.68 percent of the vote from abroad, and the Vazrazhdane party is fifth with 7.36 percent. BSP receives 6.49 percent of the votes of Bulgarians abroad, and BNO – 5.23%.

According to exit polls of the Alpha Research Agency, for the first time GERB lost in Sofia and lost to Democratic Bulgaria, which leads by 28%. In second place is the party of Boyko Borissov with 23 percent. Slavi’s “There is such a people” ranks third in the capital with 15 percent.




The Socialists remain fourth with 12 percent.

In the larger regional cities, GERB retains some advantage, followed by Trifonov’s party. The left, on the other hand, maintains third place.

The members of the sectional election commissions complain about the gathering of people during the transmission of the protocols.

The handing over of the ballots to Arena Armeec continues at this moment, but the CEC points out that fatigue is beginning to take its toll on the vote count.
