France’s soccer champions Paris Saint-Germain started the new Ligue 1 season with a clear victory.
At Clermont Foot, the star ensemble won 5-0 (3-0). The goals for PSG were scored by Neymar (9th minute), Achraf Hakimi (26th), Marquinhos (38th) and Lionel Messi (80th/86th) with a brace.
As expected, the two German internationals Julian Draxler and Thilo Kehrer were not part of coach Christophe Galtier’s squad. Both were only allowed to train in a separate group when the Parisians started training and could still leave the club.
