Parents of mischievous Utrecht boys may be charged 1.5 million | Inland

Four underage boys have been arrested for the fire. If they turn out to be liable, their parents will bear the costs of the damage.

The boys had broken into the brand new building on the Berlin Square in Leidsche Rijn. They said they were looking for a place to ‘hang out’. This got out of hand. The foursome tried to extinguish the flames, only the fire spread too quickly with disastrous consequences.

The companies and theater company HET NUT have now received support from all over Utrecht. “The city embraces us,” says Notten gratefully. A donation campaign has already raised more than 13,000 euros.

Three tenants of the collective already have new (temporary) accommodation. A new space for HET NUT is still being worked on.
