Parcel deliverer (24) stage hostage to steal mega expensive kitchen taps | Inland

The suspect herself called the police to report her hostage situation in September. On the Tourmalijn in Heerhugowaard, a man in dark clothing is said to have boarded her bus. He allegedly threatened her and took her to another location, where the postal packages were transferred to another vehicle. Then he drove with the ‘victim’ to Geestmerambacht in Langedijk.

After the report, the police searched for the perpetrators with, among other things, sniffer dogs, but they had already flown. During the investigation, the police got the suspicion that everything was staged and that the postman herself played a role in the robbery.

The woman was arrested on September 20 on suspicion of theft and embezzlement in employment. She is detained and on October 6 the court will decide whether she will be detained longer.

The police believe that there are several perpetrators behind the hostage situation, so do not rule out multiple arrests.
