Paraguay will require a yellow fever vaccine for travelers from Bolivia and Brazil

Asunción, Feb 11 Paraguay will require, starting next Monday, the yellow fever vaccination certificate from travelers to and from Bolivia, Brazil, Peru and Venezuela, countries considered “risk areas,” the General Directorate of Migration announced this Friday. The requirement of the international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever will affect travelers between one and 59 years of age from those countries, Migrations said in a statement. Nationals and foreigners residing in Paraguayan territory must also comply with this requirement before traveling to these places. The measure will come into force as of February 14 at all immigration control posts in the country, by order of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare. The vaccine must be administered at least ten days before the trip, the information added. According to the Directorate of Migration, travelers who travel by air and make a stopover in any of the risk areas must not present the aforementioned certificate. EFE lb/rrt
