Today, Tuesday, the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) announced that 6 people were killed and 294 others were injured as a result of the two earthquakes, 18 of whom are in critical condition.

It also indicated that 90 aftershocks followed the two earthquakes

In addition, the Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath correspondent indicated that most of the residents left Hatay amid severe fears of a recurrence of earthquakes, while the municipal authorities reported that they had received several reports of people stuck under the rubble after the recent earthquake, stressing that work is underway by rescue teams to reach them.

According to “AFAD”, two earthquakes measuring 6.4 and 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Hatay province yesterday evening, and buildings collapsed in several cities.

While the tremors were felt in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus.

These two earthquakes came while the affected area, which was hit by a stronger earthquake at dawn on the sixth of this month, is still healing its wounds and removing rubble and corpses, and amid warnings of the collapse of more buildings that were severely cracked as a result of the first disaster that claimed more than 46,000 lives in southern Turkey and northern Syria. It also destroyed thousands of buildings and displaced nearly a million people in Turkey, in addition to about 5 million in Syria.
