Chile vaccinated almost 1.3 million people against Covid-19 between February 3 and 10, i.e. within a week. On Thursday there were already 1.5 million. This makes the South American country one of the front runners in the world in terms of population. Even at Oxford University, this pace was described as “impressive”, as Max Roser, head of the renowned data department Our World in Data, tweeted that the country had every reason to celebrate this success “like winning a World Cup”. When it comes to administered single doses, Chile ranks among the top six, always measured by population.
