After several failed attempts, Palmeiras continues on the market in search of a defensive midfielder to fill in the absence of Danilo, negotiated with Nottingham Forest, from England, in January. The ball of the time is Allan, from Atlético-MG.
The player himself confirmed Verdão’s proposal in an interview for Rádio Itatiaia, in the mixed zone of Mineirão, shortly after Galo’s victory over Carabobo in the preliminary phase of Libertadores.
– My manager confirmed with me that he did have a proposal from Palmeiras. And I said deal with Atlético, because if it’s interesting for the club, it’s interesting for me too. I’m here to serve Atlético and I want to stay until the last day doing the best for the club – said Allan to journalist Thiago Reis in Mineirão.

Allan stressed that any proposal will always be evaluated by his staff, but he said he was happy in Belo Horizonte.
– I try to switch off about these things, I leave it to other people to assess whether it’s worth it or not. I’m available if anyone wants to talk, but I’m happy here – he added.
Also for Itatiaia, the press office of Atlético-MG stated that it does not intend to negotiate Allan with Palmeiras or with any club in Brazilian football. The 25-year-old’s termination fine is set at around €60 million (approximately R$330 million) and he has a contract until the end of 2025.
