Two deaths in a road accident in viale Regione Siciliana in Palermo, at the junction with via Ernesto Basile. Two boyfriends lose their lives: 37-year-old Carmelo Granata and 29-year-old Virginia Calvaruso. Both were aboard a Piaggio Beverly scooter that collided with a gray BMW X3.
The impact occurred around 12.30. According to an initial reconstruction, the motorbike was crossing the bridge in via Ernesto Basile, in the direction of Altofonte, when the violent collision with the car took place, which was turning right to take the junction that leads to via Regione Siciliana.

The 118 health workers intervened, but there was nothing more to be done for the two. The impact with the car threw them on the asphalt while the motorcycle crashed into the guardrail in front of the junction. Police officers and carabinieri who have ascertained the death are also on the spot.
The surveys are conducted by municipal police officers. Work is being done to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident. The BMW with the totally dented right side was taken away for the reliefs.
Four ambulances also arrived, some of the relatives learned the news felt ill and was rescued. The girl’s aunt passed out. The junction has been closed to traffic while you can continue on the main carriageway
