Pakistan intends to sell dozens of T-80UD tanks to Ukraine, but there is a condition

Ukraine may receive 44 T-80UD tanks from Pakistan in exchange for financial support from Western countries.

In the context of the growing economic crisis, Pakistan agreed to sell weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, which is fighting against the Russian occupiers.

This is reported Firstpost.

“Pakistan also offered to transfer 44 T-80UD tanks to Ukraine in exchange for financial support from Western countries. Pakistan purchased these tanks from Ukraine in the period from 1997 to 1999,” the material says.

Firstpost claims that since July last year, Pakistan has been supplying artillery and tank ammunition to Ukraine via Britain. Pakistan also uses ports in Poland and Germany.

However, Pakistan denies the supply of ammunition to Ukraine and claims to adhere to a policy of “non-intervention” in external conflicts.

In turn, Russia is dissatisfied with Pakistan’s help to Ukraine. According to reports, Putin has asked China to convince Pakistan not to join the West in supporting Ukraine. As “bait” Russia uses grain, which can help millions of Pakistanis struggling with severe food insecurity.

Recall that earlier The Economic Times reported that Pakistan has increased military aid to Ukraine, in particular, supplies through the German port, along with the Polish route. The country is transferring missiles for use in Grad multi-barrel rocket launchers.
