Pajero Driver Denies Slapping Yaris Driver: Just ‘Menoel’

Jakarta

Party Pajero driver, William Yani, open voice regarding viral incident with Yaris driver, Yohanes Aditya, at GT Tomang, West Jakarta. William’s side denied the slap narrative.

“I clarify, there is no such thing as a slap, there is one menoel (Sundanese: poke). Earlier, we also gave information in the police interview, only menoel,” William’s lawyer, Michael R Pardede, told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (23/5/2022).

Michael said his client the reflex ‘poking’ John’s face for being emotional. According to him, it was just a momentary emotion of his client.

“Maybe because of the condition, people can’t think clearly, so my client may also be a little emotional. So there are things that might be reflexes, menoel,” he said.

“It’s just a momentary emotion. His name is still a young soul under (age) 30. The reported person is 28, the reporter is also under 30. Maybe his soul is a little emotional. So just ‘penoelan‘, no slapping,” he continued.

Michael then explained why his client grabbed the Yaris driver’s collar. According to him, it happened because his client was still ‘retaining his emotions’.

“At that time the victim had already opened the seat belt when he stopped, where the reflex of my client when the reporter came out he immediately pulled the collar to contain his emotions. Because if he was emotional, he was immediately hit, this doesn’t exist,” he explained.
