However, a few of those football players appear to have made a lot of fun during the promotion party. Afterwards, stories came out about various players who would have seduced ladies into sexual acts. As it turns out, players have been recording those activities against the will of the women! The images would have been spread and have now been seen throughout Volendam.
Jan Smit has to justify
The issue cast a considerable shadow on the promotion party and the club is very upset about the issue. Especially because it could turn into a national scandal. And that in turn causes the necessary headaches for the new chairman of the club, who officially starts this week: singer Jan Smit! He has been closely involved with FC Volendam for ten years and was commercial director there since 1 January. If the scandal takes another turn, as is to be expected, he will be the one to represent the club outwardly. It is therefore almost impossible to imagine a more difficult period for the singer to start in the position of chairman.
