The Hamburger SV players are not going to show themselves in the city center tonight, that much is clear. The team only needed one point to qualify for the play-offs with Werder Bremen to force another place in the Bundesliga, but suffered a shameful crash.
It was 1-5 against SV Sandhausen and with that they are also sure of another year in the Second Bundesliga. Heidenheim also lost, but is allowed to play the playoffs. VfB Stuttgart secured second place and is the second direct doctoral candidate after champion Arminia Bielefeld. That means that former Belgian youth international Orel Mangala will also play in the Bundesliga next season.
