PAE Olympiacos: “We inform in all directions that no one can blackmail us” – 2024-03-13 17:17:07

PAE Olympiacos issued a statement regarding a publication that implicates team officials in the murder of the police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis. “No one can blackmail us”, the red and whites emphasize in it, asking the Justice Department, the Ministry of Citizen Protection and the leadership of the Greek police to protect innocent citizens and the country’s largest sports club from “dark centers”.

The announcement in detail: “The “Makeleio” newspaper, known for its slanderous tendency, associates the dramatic event of Rentis and the loss of the life of a young police officer with officials of PAE OLYMPIAKOS who have nothing to do with the specific incident. If it is just another mud-blackmailing operation of the particular publication, it will be resolved in the courts where the persons involved in the publication will immediately take refuge.

But if it is a wider operation of dark centers, with the orders of a specific person who with his action for years in the wiretapping case hurt the Republic and these dark centers and their satellites continue to alter institutions and with targeted leaks and actions try to implicate innocents and unrelated citizens, then we are not only talking about a vulgar attack by the VICTORY, but about a democratic diversion.

We inform in every direction that no one can blackmail us and we will reach the author/editor of the vulgar publication so that his purposes are revealed, as we will also reach the initiators of any kind of slander and the guilty will pay the price.

We hope that the Justice Department, the Ministry of Citizen Protection and the leadership of ELAS will stand up and not allow dark centers to involve innocent citizens and the largest club in the country in a case that is clearly related to the social violence that we face every day in our country”.
