Harry and Jerina van Huis Made have stolen the hearts of many VTM viewers. The Kortrijk couple grabbed in the final on Wednesday just next to the house they had renovated themselves , but managed to charm just about everyone. Even as far as sunny Portugal. Emigrants from West Flanders Sophie and Wim, owners of a beautiful holiday domain in the Algarve, want to invite the young family for a week of free vacation. “Such a beautiful and sweet couple, they deserve it!”
Harry and Jerina from Kortrijk have left an indelible impression on television-watching Flanders. Despite the fact that they grabbed the young couple next to their self-renovated house in the final of Huis Made on Wednesday, the viewers closed the young couple in their hearts. Their natural charm, spontaneity, perseverance and love for each other played an important role in this.
Sophie Vindevogel (51) and her husband Wim Blommaert (53) who run a beautiful holiday domain in the Portuguese Algarve, are also charmed. About eleven years ago they exchanged West Flanders for their sunny dream. Seven years ago they opened their glamping site with Algarve Safari Lodge – a luxury campsite, so to speak -, two years later a converted farmstead Algarve Country Lodge was added and since last summer they have also transformed a school bus into a holiday spot.
Invited to Portugal
“We followed the series via TV Vlaanderen and I have to say: Harry and Jerina immediately stole our hearts,” says Sophie. “Somehow we recognized ourselves in them, we could put ourselves completely in their place. When we started our dream here in Portugal, it went through trial and error as well. But you learn by doing and trying. That’s what I loved about them.”
On Wednesday evening, Sophie fervently hoped that Harry and Jerina Huis Made would win. “Unfortunately it shouldn’t have been, although in my view they absolutely deserved it. You can feel everything they have learned from this adventure, that they have come out stronger as people, as a couple and as a family. I hope they can still make their dream come true.”
Until then, Wim and Sophie want to mean something to Harry and Jerina. They would like to invite the Kortrijk couple to come on holiday in Portugal for one week for free. “I’m not doing this to advertise, but because I want that beautiful couple so much,” said Sophie. “Such sweet, jovial people, such a beautiful family… They deserve to be able to catch their breath together, in a quiet environment like we have here. My gut said we should do this for them. We haven’t been able to reach Harry and Jerina yet, but I hope they will actually respond. I think we could get along well. ”
