Outbreak of Mysterious Disease Leaves 95 Students Paralyzed in Kenyan School

The British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported that the incident occurred at St. Teresa Irigi Girls’ Secondary School in the town of Musoli, 374 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, adding that 95 female students were taken to hospital after they became paralyzed as a result of the mysterious disease that spread in the school.

Health officials in this East African country have opened an investigation to uncover the causes of the outbreak of the strange disease, warning of catastrophic repercussions if the disease is contagious.

According to local media, the girls suddenly fell to the ground at school.

Video footage attributed to what happened in the hospital circulated, and the British newspaper The Daily Mail described it as “worrying footage,” showing the two students struggling to stand on their feet, receiving help from their colleagues, and shaking uncontrollably.
