The music and lighting installation oto to hikari will finally be held from January 26, 2024 (Friday).
The first event will be held at “Namio Coffee” in Ome, and the exhibition will be held at each location for a period of 2 weeks to 1 month, and will be held at other locations throughout the country.
oto to hikari The theme for 2024 is
– Let’s light a light with a radius of several meters –
This theme was taken from a poem written by Ai Watanabe, the owner of Namio Coffee.

“When I think about how to bring peace to this world where there is constant conflict, the first thing I do is to make those around me smile.

If each of us lights a light that brings smiles to those around us,

At the same time as the installations are being carried out at various locations, we will also be releasing PVs on YOUTUBE that use independently produced sound sources as well as sound sources from currently active artists and music creators.
Lighting equipment from the MyAurora series produced by Akashi Kogyo Co., Ltd. and original miscellaneous goods created by handmade artists will be on sale during the installation. All proceeds from sales will be donated to reconstruction support for the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

・All proceeds from the sale of lighting equipment and the sale of miscellaneous goods by the handmade artists participating in this project during the oto to hikari installation in 2024 will be donated.
・In the event that music-related sales (content that is sold independently at the exhibition venue by artists and creators participating in this project collaboration) are outside the scope of TABITO, they will not be eligible for donations.
[We are looking for business operators who can provide venues]
The lighting and music installation oto to hikari is produced and exhibited by Satsuki Morishima (lighting designer and TABITO editor), and uses sound sources prepared independently as well as sound sources provided by currently active artists and creators. We will carry out the installation together with the business that provides the venue.
Recruitment details/conditions
■About the exhibition cooperation period
Approximately 2 weeks to 1 month from January to December 2024 (depending on venue availability, etc.)
■About use of exhibition hall
The condition is that the exhibition space can be provided free of charge.
*The exhibition of LED lighting will require the use of power.
■About the installation concept for 2024
The theme will be “Let’s light a light in a radius of several meters” by Namio Coffee in Ome.
*We will respond on a case-by-case basis if there is a situation at the venue or a concept that you would like to express uniquely through the installation.
■All proceeds from the works sold during the installation will be donated to Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery support. Venue providers who wish to sell our products should be aware of this.
■Notification method, etc.
TABITO Japan will make announcements mainly via the internet. (With the use of SNS advertisements)

■About PV release on TABITO YOUTUBE channel
In addition to introducing the store, we will also be showing the installation pattern as a PV.
