Ostersund-2023. Wierer won the individual race, the Ukrainians are out of the top 30

In Ostersund, Sweden, a women’s individual race was held as part of the eighth stage of the Biathlon World Cup.

Ukrainian biathletes did not make it into the top 30. The best in the composition of our team was the team captain Elena Bilosyuk. She managed to avoid inaccurate shots on the firing lines and show the 32nd final result.

Yulia Dzhima and Anastasia Merkushina also managed to run into the end zone, having 2 misses each. Daria Blashko and Lyubov Kipyachenkova performed quite unsuccessfully, having settled down in the second part of the finish protocol.

Italian Dorothea Wierer won the race ahead of her compatriot Lisa Vittozzi. Both Italians shot clean, and they were accompanied on the podium by German Denise Herrmann-Wick, who left one target uncovered.

Lisa Vittozzi, in addition to the silver medal, won the Small Crystal Globe in individual races. For the Italian, this is the second such trophy in her career, earlier she became the best in this discipline at the end of the 2018/19 season.
